Wibby: Would you please leave those dishes alone and come sit down with me and drink your coffee?
Margaret: Mom, someone’s got to clean up the kitchen.
Wibby: Oh, just throw the plates out in the yard and let the animals lick them clean.

You are so fortunate! I really like Wibby’s philosophy on child-rearing and house-cleaning. And I have never known smarter, kinder, or more creative children than the ones she brought up.
Wibby says: “This is such a kind comment! I’m getting Margaret to print this out so I can carry it around in my purse all the time!”
Amen, Marian! There’s a quote, which I can neither remember correctly nor recall the person it was said of, to the effect that “even his vices are virtues”; it’s true for the whole Renkl family, and no one else I’ve ever met. Maybe the Brittins…
Of course, I doubt any Renkls would agree with this, but I feel it very strongly.
Wibby says: “Jim, you’re a prince. It was very easy to be kind to you because we all loved you so much. It was nice to see you at Lori’s the other day after so long.”
Wibby, after God made you, he broke the mold.
Olivia, Happy Birthday! It was great to see you, and I have signed up for the blog email alerts. Keep those quotes coming–we need them!
Wibby says: “It was great to see you, Cathy– it’s always great to see you! Thanks for coming to help me celebrate my birthday!”
